Shikara Ride

These traditional wooden houseboats increase the aestheticity of the Dal and Nigeen lakes in Srinagar. This tops the to do’s in Kashmir.

Gondola Cable Car Ride

To marvel the mountains from land is a spectacle but to view them from a few feet in the air, is an experience in itself. > The Gondola cable rides are one of the most interesting and fun things to do in Kashmir. > It is the second highest cable car ride in the world giving a beautiful bird’s eye view of the snow capped mountains in Gulmarg or the summer of green valleys, literally putting you on cloud 9.

Overnight stay in a houseboat

Glide through the vales

Horse and Pony back Rides

Mountain horses are strong majestic creatures. They are also a common mode of transportation in many valleys and villages. Recently, they have also become one of the must do’s in Kashmir. > Riding a horse through the undulated terrains, lush green valleys is quite a thrill.

Heritage Walk

Kashmir’s culture and heritage has been influenced by Islamic, Hindu and Buddhist ideas. This is further exemplified with their architecture, lifestyles, dress up etc. > There are many old monuments and buildings which transfer to in an olden era. > Walk through these lanes and relive a part of history dating three to four centuries old.

Retail Therapy

Spend some time shopping antiques, souvenirs and a lot more at Kashmiri markets and flea shops. > Go for some Kashmiri dry fruits, saffron, pashmina, handlooms, crafts and copper ware. > You can also pick some fresh fruits and flowers from the shikaras during your stay.

No vacation is complete without having a taste test with your taste buds. > Indulge in authentic kashmiri cuisine. > The very famous and delectable Roghan Josh, mouthwatering chicken biryanis, kashmiri dam aloo to name a few. Matschgand and Gushtaba are also very popular. > Due to westernisation, there are also many authentic north indian street food available. > Do not give Kahwa a miss! This herbal tea infused with leaves is a must try especially during winters.
