Truly majestic, they are a treat to the eyes and provide you with a journey of a lifetime - the rough treks or the easy ones, camping, laying in the lap of nature gazing across the view of the sky illuminated with thousands of twinkle. The magnificent peaks form a high rise boundary from Kashmir in the west to Arunachal in the east, offering many trails for amateur to expert trekkers.

The humid and warm weather demands a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of the city. We came up with 5 treks that you require a day each to give you an amazing weekend treat!





Kasol and Kheerganga

Kasol and Kheerganga, one of the most sought after treks for backpackers. This valley in Himachal promises a scenic and amazing journey into the woods. It is also blessed with natural hot water springs and a breathtaking view of the Dhauladhar and Pir Pinjal ranges. Some must visits here include Shiv Temple, Rudra Naag waterfall and also has some interesting rock formations. The trek is frequented my many be it solo or group and delivers what is expected - a passage filled with greens, rivers and mountain peaks.
Best Season - March, May to June, September to November
Difficulty - Easy to Moderate
Altitude - 3000 ft
Location - Parvati Valley
Distance and Time Taken - 16-18km, which is covered in 6-7 hours



Triund Trek

Situated in the Dharamsala region, it is often called the crown of this place. Offering splendid view of Dhauladhar on one side and Kangra valley on another, it is sure to make deliver you a memorable experience. Very popular amongst trekkers, Triund is even more beautiful at night when you gaze at the stars from your camps. It has an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful mixed forest.

Best Season  - March to May, September to December
Difficulty - Easy to Moderate
Altitude - 2875 ft
Location  - Starts from Galu, Mcleodganj
Distance and Time Taken - 7-8 km and takes around 3 hours.

Beas Kund Trek

Ons of the best treks to do for amateurs and the highlight of a manali weekend. Experience the beauty of the Pir Panjal ranges and the Beas River. From Solang Nallah, the route crosses the famous Solang Valley. Solang valley is famous for ski slopes & Paragliding The greenery of the meadows will leave you spellbound and on reaching higher altitudes you also see the origins of Beas, quite a sight to behold.

Difficulty - Moderate
Altitude - 3700 ft
Location - Manali

Bhrigu Lake Trek

The famous Bhrigu lake invites a lot of trekkers to its beauty. Given its high altitudes, you get to witness beautiful alpine meadows, something which will transport you to the highlands of europe. Sitting on the dewy greens, you will find yourself surrounded by the the mountains all around the crystal blue skies.

Difficulty - Moderate
Altitude - 14000 ft
Location - Manali

Kareri Lake Trek

Sitting between the majestic Dhauladhar range is Kareri lake, the pristine glacial lake everyone comes to visit. The waterbed is  easily visible and is quite a spectacle. It’s a definite go to if you want to have a short, quiet trek.
