The first day of your itinerary explores the colorful and vibrant Barcelona which is one of the best places to visit in Spain. The city is known for its glitzy Mediterranean coastline, glorious architecture and rich cultural heritage, and is best explored on one of its many bus, walking and helicopter tours. Spain tour packages are totally incomplete without it. Learn about all the famous UNESCO World-heritage Site-listed buildings like the Casa Batlló, Park Güell and Palau de la Música Catalana. Stroll through the tree-lined La Rambla and enjoy its many sights and cafes. Later, make time to cool off at one of the seven pristine beaches that dot the city’s coastline. If you are a fan of FC Barcelona, a visit to Camp Nou, the third-largest football stadium in the world, is unmissable!

This day is reserved for the skip-the-line tour of Antoni Gaudi’s La Sagrada Família—a work of art that was so close to his heart that it was left unfinished! Appreciate this masterpiece from all possible angles and even climb up its 8 towers that offer unparalleled views of Barcelona, a gloriously cultured city that features on almost all Spain packages from India. The best part of this guided tour is that you will skip all those tedious queues and can use your time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about its Gothic architecture, Gaudi’s Art Nouveau inspiration and all the artists who are helping to make his vision a reality. Who knows? It may inspire you to come back to admire the finished monument in all its glory in 2026!

Start this day bright and early with a short flight to Seville. Rest a bit at your hotel before you head out to explore some of the city’s quaint food markets. But, make sure you preserve your stamina because it is after dusk when the city reveals its secrets. On a night bus tour, explore the artistic side of the city with sights like the Almohad Dynasty’s Tower of Gold, the Bridge of San Telmo and the Parque de Maria Luisa which is the largest park in Seville. The highlight, though, is the Flamenco dance show that will remind you of that gorgeous ‘senorita’ from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (don’t forget to dance and sing along!). Really, are any Spain packages from India complete without this customary ZNMD dance?

DAY 4

This is when your #ZNMD dreams are rekindled as you road trip through gorgeous Spanish countryside from Seville to Granada where you will spend the day. This city is one of the best places to visit in Spain because not only is it located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains but it also gives an insight into Spain’s Islamic history. Most Spain tour packages skip this city and it’s a real pity. While Granada has its share of chapels and basilicas, its piece de resistance is undoubtedly the Alhambra Fortress and Palace that was built by the Moorish emir Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar. Feel like you’re in a medieval fairy tale as you admire its fountains, intricate archways and muqarnas. The complex’s Palacios Nazaríes, often considered the most gorgeous Islamic building in Europe, is a must-visit. Don’t forget to stop by the Taberna La Tana, a family-run bar that serves great Spanish wine and tapas before you head back to Seville.

Some Spain packages from India include Córdoba, another gem located about an hour and a half away from Seville. About a millennium ago, the city was the capital of Islamic Spain and the cultural centre of Europe. At every turn and street corner, Córdoba reveals a secret from its history and a cycle or walking tour adds to the fun. Head to the Plaza de las Tendillas for its vibrant restaurant scene. Of course, most of your time must be reserved for the iconic Mezquita, the archaeological site of Madinat al-Zahra and the delightful Flamenco museum!

DAY 6

After all the countryside exploration, it’s time to head to Spain’s capital, Madrid. A scenic three-hour train journey from Seville will bring you here where you will explore the Prado Museum. This institution is a treat for art lovers as it is the Spanish national art museum housing priceless works of art that once belonged to the royal family, making it one of the best places to visit in Spain. The areas of La Latina & Lavapiés abound with cathedrals, tapas bars and stylish boutiques that ensure your day is not dull. Madrid is definitely the cherry on the icing of most Spain tour packages. The country is a haven for football enthusiasts so if you’re a Real Madrid fan, make sure you stop by Bernabéu Stadium before calling it a day!
