8 Summer Experiences in Europe for your Gang of Friends

A travel checklist (with vegetarian food options) for a perfect Europe holiday

Source -

Planning a perfect vacation with family and friends is always a tug of war between destinations & personal preferences. Over the years, with the influence of Bollywood, Europe holidays have gained popularity in India. It’s easy to tick off most countries in just one visit to Europe with a guided tour spread over 12 to 15 days with a set of most diverse and culturally rich experiences across London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Heidelberg, Innsbruck, Venice, Florence, Rome, Pisa, Nice, Engelberg and Paris. And the wide spread popularity of vegetarian gastronomic experiences in Europe has been a soothing balm for the bulk of Indian tourists who prefer travelling in big groups like our Gujarati & Jain friends for instance. While there are plenty of tailor-made Europe holiday packages for every group, if you are a vegetarian and planning a vacation with your gang of friends this summer, then here’s a toolkit to help you make the most of your European indulgence.

Over the years, with increasing vegetarian tourists especially Gujaratis and Jains, Europe holiday packages today offer a veggie gastronomic journey for every taste palate. For home feels in your Europe holiday, trust the tour operators with their widespread vegetarian/Jain fare prepared by chefs flown from India. Pack some travel munchies for long train journeys and road trips along the European countryside & coasts by indulging in our very own KFC - Khakhras, Fafdas, Chaklis along with khichu & thepla packets. For street food indulgence, bakeries are always a saviour in Northern Europe along with pizzas and pastas in Italy, aubergines and olives in Greece and vegetarian tapas in Spain. Make cheese your best friend and always remember to mention that you are a vegetarian with no preference for seafood & chicken.

If you are a group of single friends, single women travellers or couples looking at wanting some adrenaline rush in your holiday, a Europe holiday offers some of the best adventure activities in the world from the lunacy of cheese rolling in England to the underwater thrills of shark diving in Scotland; from indulging in Alpine sports like kite skiing at Chamonix in France to snowmobiling in Greenland. And for all the ocean lovers, the stunning coastline of North Wales offers coasteering, which is all about climbing, scrambling, swimming and jumping to explore areas inaccessible except by boat.
Look for Europe holiday packages with adventurous excursions to offbeat destinations.

If extreme adventure is not your cup of tea, then soak yourself up in some of the most beautiful excursions filled with the best panoramic views in the world in your Europe holiday. One of our all-time favourite excursions is at Glacier 3000 – an everlasting snow mountain, offering panoramic views of the most beautiful summits of the Alps. This familiar tourist attraction often shot in Bollywood movies, is one of the biggest highlights of every Europe holiday package these days. It allows you to cruise along at approx. 40 km/hour and with the brakes you can determine how fast you want to go. What better way to bond with your family & friends than in the serenity of nature. And when in London, an evening ride on ‘London Eye’ - the world's fourth tallest Ferris wheel will stun you with its most gorgeous panoramic views till the edge of London and beyond.

What’s a Europe holiday without shopping. While picking up small souvenirs and travel magnets are always fun through the holiday, don’t forget to allot some time for Oxford Street in London - home to the vast Marks and Spencer's and Selfridge's department store; a walk via Galeries Saint Hubert - the world's first shopping mall situated in Brussels or a day of Swiss shopping in the arterial city lanes of Switzerland indulging in an unlimited selection of watches & exquisite jewellery. Every major city in Europe has a shopping delight which most Europe holiday packages always include.

No Europe holiday is complete without dabbling in some fine luxury and what better experience that a day at Fragonard – Parfumeur that has been creating their famous perfumes since 1926. They have factories in Grasse and at the village of Eze on the French Riviera where the air is redolent with the fragrance of flowers specially grown by Fragonard, foremost 'parfumeur' of France, to create some of their best perfumes. Discover Fragonard's original perfumery creations on sale at factory prices. Look for Europe holiday packages that focus on exclusive experiences along with regular sightseeing to make memories that you can cherish for a lifetime.

While finalizing your Europe holiday packages, remember to skip the cities in some countries and escape to the countryside. Western Europe’s alpine meadows, seaside villages and lake towns are little pieces of paradise that let you indulge in slow living and experience country life. Some key countryside attractions include a drive across the Swiss and Maritime Alps, the Italian and French Riviera and further into the scenic splendour of Chamonix Mont Blanc. It’s love at first sight guaranteed in every Europe holiday.
